Teaching

The portal to writing — at least for me — was my love for reading at such a young age, and thus my greatest teacher was my mother. Her own love of reading filled our house. We were poor by almost any standard, but we had books; shelves of them. I had permission to read anything and everything. And I did.

Over the years I have had the training and experience that has allowed me to use the name teacher or trainer — and those skills are helpful. But mostly I share with students my own love of books in hopes they will also find their way in — as a reader, as a writer, as a seeker.

  • Teaching Experience—Years of teaching in a business environment; designed, wrote study materials (including two mini-texts) for Clark College Professional Development and numerous companies (as an internal officer or external consultant).
